Hello, my 1725 it's give me some problem in to set fruit, the first fruit aborted at 15 ft, the second aborted also at20ft, pollinate one this morning at 25ft I hope this one it's ok,so, in case this one at 25 ft it's set,how do you all think about the distance?25 ft can to be a problem, never had a pumpkin so far from the stump, someone know some monster grew at this distance? Thanks Sergio

same as george on my 1725. 17.5' will hopefully be the one. the others were at 6 and 9.5' and pinched and 12.5 and 13.5 toasted in the 97 degree heat and never fylluy developed. had a secondary female fully develope which was a good sign. definately use a fan during developement 3 days prior and ice bottles on the day of pollination and leave the fan on the female until she kicks if you have high heat. even if you do not have extrememly high heat, i have had much better pollination percentages with this practice and seed counts should be better theoretically cuz the male pollen also likes to be cooler when setting seeds.

It should read NOT many females..the ones forming look like they will stick around. We are not expecting extreme heat. Never had a problem, or had to do much icing under 90

Try selfing it. Some plants seem to not take other plants pollen very well but they will sometimes take their own.
