Hi, I pollinated a 3-lobe several feet out on the main and noticed when I went to check on it yesterday that there were tiny seeds on the bottom of the stigma. The pollination appears to have been successful. I've always heard that it's not a good idea to pollinate a seedy blossom, but the next flower down the line looks like it's going to be deformed....last year I pollinated a seedy flower and it grew a 600+ pounder with no problems and was a really nicely shaped fruit. Has anyone out there had experience growing a BIG fruit from a seedy blossom?

Well, I was hoping to hear more success stories. It's probable that people generally don't even bother to pollinate a seedy blossom, but wait for something (hopefully) better down the line. Thanks Wiz; I hope I can grow my seedy blossom as big and heavy as you managed to!

I had no choice that year to pollinate a go with that female.. in fact two that had seedZ in the bloosom...now that I think of it...my 1288 Wallace had a seed or two hanging out as well, I worried about it aborting but it didnt....and turned out OK, so go for it and good luck!
