Hail and wind storm 2 nights ago, main vine snapped about 18" from end, main is about 8' fron root stump. Will it contiue to grow if not what are my options. Thanks for all info.

This is pretty common especially with all the bad weather this year. How bad is the snap? If it is done for, train the closest secondary to become your new main vine. See below for a similiar thread.

Cut it down to the next secondary and then you'll have your new main. It happens a lot so don't get discouraged. Last year all of my plants had to be pruned back to the secondaries due to the critters eating the vines. Good luck!

It sapped about 3/4 thru, should I cut it and bury it at the snap or closer to the stump. thanks for everyones info

We've had a rough season in Missouri so far... I survived the 50mph gusts early this morning, no hail here yet (so far) this year.

I had one snap off last week at about 4-5 ft from the stump and the first secondary back from the split has taken overand grown 18"+.
