The SVB's are alive and well here in Easton PA. Caught a few in my trap already and I still havnt put the new feremone in yet. The old feremone is still in there from last year.

I have just gotten an official SVB report for Connecticut...
Fairfield county has a confirmed kill at one patch with two sighted at another so they are in the area.
All other counties are on high alert but no confirmed catches as of this writing. Traps are set and baited, I expect an increase in catches later this week.
Interesting to hear the pheromone still works from last year! Typically, I add a new one after about 4-weeks but always keep the old one in there. At the end of the season I clean everything out and start fresh around this time of year.
Everyone in the trap is one less near the plants;-)

Just put a trap up last night. Along with a large yellow bowl filled with water that is supposed to work as well since they are attracted to yellow I was told.

Those SVB traps are great for catching my neighbors honeybees. Considering what an @#$hole he's been since moving in, I have no regrets. Thanks for heads up, people.

Same here Ken , I check the trap twice a day and also the leaves . Once they appear the remaining traps will go out . It's been cooler here this spring so they must be a little slower coming out of the ground .
