It started as a double vine and then turned into a 3" flat vine...was hoping it would change..but no go...at the 12' mark now and will pollinate. I have a lot of experience with this...they are tough to manage as flat vines are brittle...so will grow the pumpkin and hope. The only flat vine of my 10 plants...so not a bad year...was curious of others growing this seed...if seeing it also? Since this is first year seed...which is always dangerous...but what an orange! :-)

Mine is doing fine though I am really late due to the very wet spring. I buddy near me is also growing one and the last I talked to him, his was doing the best of the patch. What will be your crosses?

Mine is doing good about 10 ft out so far. It is a bushy and thicker type plant with big leaves. The male flowers look funny with larger leaf type structures growing out from base of flower.

Mine also is doing good after a rough start, It is at 14 ft and has two females one at 11 one just after that. I will be pollinating the first one in about 4-5 days hopefully with either the 1810 or the 1725 Harp depending on who has males ready to share that day. Road trip!

Tim, not sure on the cross yet...I have it with the 1240 Bogie (growing 2 of them) (Back 2 Back - xmas tree)..which is a 1421 Stelts (same cross)...so might do that one...but also have 1161 Rodonis that looks to be throwing out orange females. (Yeah!) Other ones in my patch: 1468 Stevens, 1180 Pukos, 1355 Bhaskaran, 1167 Courson, 1663 Zoellner and 1495 Stelts. The 1355 Bhaskaran and 1161 are doing the best so far...but "we're not growing salad" :-)

I think I'll be crossing the 1610 with the 991 Urena. Havent had to many issues with the 1610. Seems like a healthy plant. I think the vines have been a little slow growing.

Mine is doing great with no issues, out about 8 ft now and growing better than all the other plants. The 1610 will be crossed with the 1394 Daletas (23% heavy!)
