I use Bayer's Tree and Shrub and for the first time ever..the aphids didn't take down my potatos! Awesome product!! The world record holder for pumpkins shared that info with me last year. I use 1/6 the dose which is about the level if you use the Bayer's Veg Garden one...but you get 6X more for the price...same chemical...just higher %...I think one is 1.47% and the other is .25%.

Thanks! The Bayer Tree and Shrub is on sale right now for 40% off at my store, so I'll get some tomorrow.

I think you can eat after 30 days.I wouldnt worry about it the chemicals they have been using for years on our produce would make a dead man glow!!Its in the air, soil ,water, sorry just keepin it real!!

Ortho Max work for me to knock them back since I already had them on my 1725. I also have the Bayer merit which is in my rotation...

North Shore, Yes, I was told by some folks that Imaclorid(sp) doesn't translocate besides the leaves...also Bayer uses it in it's veggie one...just lower dosage...so I'm assuming :) safe.
I will say...I haven't had to spray anything yet this year! No potato bugs, no cuke beetles..I see both of them..but no damage...yet...so must be working!

The bugs used to have an advantage with rain...that now has been solved. Woohoo!

Thanks Dave, I went to the Bayer website and did some reading on it as well. We only battle aphids here so I'm looking forward to using it.

I'm also using the Bayer 1.47% Imidacloprid - Don't forget a contact\spot spray either.
