My 2 pumpkin plants are growing very very slowly. I have leaves, but no vines yet. I dont know if it has to do with the 14 inches of rain we've had here in North Central Indiana this month alone, or im not doing something right? I put compost tea on em Friday and they perked up. Anyone else having trouble gettin goin? Any ideas? And also, why dont watermelons grow good in Indiana? Ive talk to alot farmers and gardeners and they never had any luck with me.. Even the Amish are having troubles.

Hey Ryan, I just looked at your diary and saw that you planted them on May 19. These plants usually take about 3-4 weeks to start vining out, so give them another week or so and you should start to see some progress. When you start seeing tendrils that means its about to start vining.
