looking to find some info about when to dig up a bunch of tulips for transplanting.

fall is the best time to divide and plant bulbs. it depends on your area but after the first frosts and before the ground freezes is a good window. You can dig them up and move them after the leaves wither away in mid summer, but it is not ideal. if you do it before they go dormant for the summer, you may weaken the plants and they may not bloom the next year.

ok thank you. good to know. I have about 15 of them to move and didnt want to kill them all. lol I appreciate your help.

Can dig up up after leaves dies back and replant where you want. If you plan to store them to plant next year, dig in the fall and pack plenty of dry peat around them (one roten one destroys the whole batch otherwise.
