What is the best way to fix a double vine? I have a 1303 Sweet growing and have high hopes for it. The problem is that it has grown to a double vine at a early growth stage. Thanks

If it's a simple double vine just cut one of the growth tips off.

Sorry if I sound dumb, but what does a simple one look like?

I cut the main vine back to a small secondary and retrain it into a new main. I still broke 1k last year doing that. A simple double vine puts up 2 leaves at each axle, unlike a ribbon vine which puts up crazy eradic growth. There is also a theory that if the plant is really young, you can water it a lot for a steady period and they can sometimes pull out of it. Sorry to hear about your double vine, but don't worry too much its not a season ender.

Thanks for the help everyone. As I said it is still young so I will try the watering thing and if that fails then I have a nice secondary vine that will be trained to become the new main.
