    As some of you may know, I am in charge of the GPC site prize packages for this 2011 year. I am making what I consider necessary adjustments for this year as compared to previous years. While I do have a new plan of action, it is very important that your dues are paid if you are in charge of a site.
    
    Dues are due by June 1st which is going to be here very soon. All of the sites that are fully paid will be sent to the prize package company if you pay late, your site will not be on the primary list.

This is just a word of warning.

I was one of the 1st to pay last year prior to June 1st..We received our package in April? Just a word of warning.. If I do not get the prize package delivered to my house prior to 9-15-11. I will be calling you everyday looking for it

matt id suggest a quick phone call or email to responsible parties of all gpc sites. some may not see this message?

thank you anf the gpc for taking steps to correct this situation of last season. i know you have done a lot researching companies, purchasing and delivering promptly to all sites.

people who have never been involved in these type undertaking have no idea the amount of work involved.

Matt, A little off subject, but since your in touch with the sites and corresponding people, can you put a bug in some ears to get someone to include a Tomato catagorie somewhere in New England?

Sweet,

We have a preregister tomato entry process for tomato's that are ready before a GPC weigh-off or the sites in the region do not have the resources to register them properly.

We do ask that all GPC sites try to accomidate the categories we currently recognize but it is not manditory. If you have a site you would like to see add a category to their agenda please contact the site &/or your regional GPC committee member to see if they can make it happen.

The bottom of New Jersey

I thought existing sites had until July 1 to send in the fee. Isn't it only new sites that need to pay by June 1? Sections 4A and 4B: http://greatpumpkincommonwealth.com/rules.php

This winter the GPC awards package was a hot topic to say the least. During these discussions we determined that the time frame from the end of registration to the delivery of the first awards packages was not long enough for such a large . This is why we moved the registration deadline up 1 month to June 1st for all sites.
