Don--
The lack of sunlight is really becoming a problem. Temps are supposed to go up next week, but with rain every day predicted.
We need sunshine!
Good luck to all!
PS- The farmers here are really hurting. What a year!

Here in eastern Iowa we are probably a little behind normal rainfall. A welcome change after 3 years of monsoons. We just can't get any heat, but in a couple weks that will likely change.

When the snakes are crossing the gravel roads, rain
is less then 24 hours away. My swimming pool & 1100
gallon tanks are like the Mississippi River, flooding
over. Its "SPRING", still Beats the $hit out of the Snow!!!

Around here we have shattered records. One all time record broke last night from a very bad storm here in Oneida County was 4.10 inches of rain in two hours. Flooding all over.April was the second wettest rain fall in Oneida county history. They say this month of May will set an all time new record for this month. Also they say that this Summer is going to look like a very wet one. Farmers in the area are three weeks behind. Neighbor plants 1,000 acres of corn every year and at this time last year he was all done. This year, not one seed has been planted yet.

I just got a cool 1/2 inch hard downpour. Broke one automatic opener, blew over small shanty hut over the newly transplanted 759 Jensen. I'll take what I can get cause it gets bone dry hot and humid here. Not unusual to get no rain from mid june till late august! Let it rain...let it rain... let your l.... oh well I can't sing either! Only plants completely destroyed were eatin zuchinnis, in the veggie patch!!! Sorta weird, but the 4 zuk's were the only plants w/ any major damage, and they were sucked right outta the patch!!!
