Prayers for more then 7,000 Slave Lake residents who have been evacuated in these massive wildfires. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of homes and buildings have been burned.
Prayers to all who have been affected by these massive forest fires.

As of last night, 45% of the town has been burnt. Homes, Motels, stores, anything and everything. We did a great amount of work up there. A wild fire started late Friday then on Saturday and Sunday, high winds (60 mph)from the South pushed the fire 14 kms into the town. At times the wind was throwing hot embers 2 kms ahead of the fire.

My sister inlaw and family lost their house. They escaped with little more than their lives. My brother inlaw thinks that his house may be ok but the whole place is a disaster, basically no infrastructure exists. Hard to imagine. Insurance will pay for your stuff but it can't replace your life. Very sad.

My thoughts and best wishes to all involved. Think about your town and finding one morning half of it gone...its hard to fathom.
