Hi My Name is Shannon...I have grown Giant pumpkins for 10 seasons now..and I am a peeker..I soak the seeds put them in the put and can't stop my self from scratching the dirt away..I have tried several different home remedies, even considered professional help..But am afraid they would not let me leave the office. Is there any hope?

i use the paper towel method, that way you have to peak. Solves the problem ;)

I believe that there is no hope. Try placing a large pair of mittens on as soon as you put them in the soil. It may be awkward to work for several days in the mittens but it is very difficult to scratch the soil away from the seeds. Good luck.

hello, my name is Dan, and I am also a peeker. Admitting you have a problem is always the first step to getting help.

You people that don't peek are crazy..How can you just sit there for days and wonder if something is going on in there. :)

My Sayre growing buddy Rocky always says that every time he caves in to peeking it leads to dissapointment... nothing. He got so taken up with it that he peeked at everything.. even used to peek under the sheets... same results.. Dissapointment. Don't do it!!
