has any one tried preserving a giant pumpkin? A fulla i know is trying to by hollowing it out and filling it with foam I'm wondering if anyone has tried it or knows of a successful method?

Only way would be to make a fiberglass replica..The pumpkin skin shrinks and cracks. I have tried to save some sculpted jack o lanterns. Shrinkage makes them crack
