I walked outside today and there is this big yellow, shiny thing in the Eastern sky?

Yup, I saw the same thing - I measured it as 93 million miles away and it took 8 minutes for the energy it was giving off to arrive here in cold western NY.

Some scientists years back had some theories about a huge ball of burning gasses with multiple magnetic fields that apparently gave off some sort of energy?? They even coined a term called photo… something. I heard they since have been institutionalized.

Big gray thing is hiding the yellow UFO today. And it seems to have sprung a small leak, just a few drops falling out of it every so often.

@ Paul F -- Yep and here in El Paso we're getting nothing but High winds and the nasty dust storms that come with it. We've forgotten what Rain is here (been 100+ days with no percipitation and doesn't look like any is headed this way anytime soon ! Having to water 6+ times a day just to get a bit of the water to soak in the ground far enough to provide some water for the plants.

Can you post a picture of the sighting? That sounds like a classic x-file.

Bill, we better take advantage of it today in our area because rumor has it that tomorrow the US military will be shooting that yellow UFO out of the sky..LOL!

Patch is still really wet here and need one maybe two days of this same weather for things to dry out like I would like, but that dont look like thats in our Ohio forecast any time soon. So my plants are going in the ground today or tomorrow, and Im not gonna like it!

Time is getting short now and I really do want to be pollinating before July 4th.lol.

If it continues to be wet like it has been for the last month and a half, I plan on buying 6 or 7 bags of the 'Master Pride Potting Soil' (Which of course I cant find yet in my area) and putting a bag of that down first in a semi raised bed to plant my seedlings in, atleast doing it that way Ill have a somewhat dry area for starting them.

Ya, I been tracking this thing all day (so much that my face is getting red). Every single hour it moves 15 degrees to the west and about noon it rose to 59 degrees above the horizon. But now it is going lower and may eventually disappear. Will it reappear tomorrow? - probably not but if it does we will see it for 3 minutes longer.

Come on SUN I've got 16 plants to put in the ground (after I push the mud out of the way).

all kidding aside? be carefull of sun shock on your plants. just as we needed to harden off plants to the cool night temps ? we also must gradually get the young plants used to the bright sun.
