It appears that the rain in Westyern New ork will never stop. 3 inches in the last few days and flood warnings for an adjacent county.
This is going to be a tough year!
Good luck all!

Non stop rain here in the buffalo area. Blue tarps are the only thing keeping one patch somewhat dry. The other patch seems to have turned into a spring. I almost tilled and ammended saturday but did not and that was probably a good thing. Need a 4-5 days no rain and warm air.

Here in central Indiana we were 8 inches above normal for april with rain falling on 26 of the 30 days. It is now May 3rd and we have already had over 2 inches this month with rain all three days. So in essence we have had rain 29 of the last 30 days!! Lol

I managed to get most surface amendments roto-tilled along with the cover crop of rye during the first week of April and, since then, it's been one thing at a time between storms.

Got the fence posts driven and the re-sprouting rye sprayed. Plants have been transplanted to larger containers and target date is Saturday or Sunday, with only the Subdue G and beneficial microbes left to incorporate.

You think it's wet & rainy!!! Read yesterday, that 2011 rainfall, has already exceeded 2010 totals!!!! But a bright sunny day today, has me ready to put plants into the patch in 10 days or so, if we don't get any more rain!!! LOL Will go search tomorrow for 5 gallon pots!!!! Peace, Wayne
