When you do a soil drench do you do just around the stump or the whole main vines and secondaries?

we soil drench usually every seven to ten days starting the end of june. we use 275 gallon water tanks (3) and pump the mixture out over the entire growing area.we dont tend to drench a lot around the base or main vine as this could lend itself to rotting.mostly drench around the secondaries and edges of plant. a little on the base and main.
when the plant is fully grown at around 700-750 sq ft ? we drench approximately 50-65 gallons per plant)much less when the plant is small and still growing.
depending on the time of year ,etc, we use all sorts of water soluable biologicals and growth additives in the drench.(be sure what your mixing is compatable) fungacides, etc, are applies via back pack sprayer as well.
