Im gonna sandbag this year. I'd love to roll into Freriches Farm with a gorrilla of a pumpkin surprising the entire club. Lol. I suspect that if that where possible the Wisemen would suspect something and figure it out really quick. No e-mails, texts, phone calls from the heat? Somethings brewing in Bristol! Either that or the heat is dead.....Then again I never do anything quietly. Good. Luck to all you potential sandbaggers out there in pumpkin land. I see some great things happening this year for all grower...Seasons blessings to all!

sandbagging again???? I never sandbagged last year. I just didn't spout my mouth off like some people, as you never know what a pumpkin will weight until it hits the scales...

heres what the pros do
they hunker down all season and do not come out of their foxholes until seasons end.before that you may not even know they were growing.
the real fibbin does not go on until just before weigh-offs begin. its an art form finding out who has what so you know where your best chance for first place lies.
many calls back and forth - people fishing around for info. it gets so hectic you need a pad and pencil so you can remember what you told different growers that called ---lol
all in all though? you grew it, its yours and you can do and go where ever your heart tells you to.
some go to locations for the cash, some for loyalty and some just because theres only one weigh-off in their area.
either way? its all good.
