Had a question for you guys about the morals, I have heard dead elms are a prime spot to look , and I was also wondering is there any other places these can be found besides dead elms?..someone once told me a old apple orchard is also a good spot?,, Do they grow on a certain side of a hill , like north, south, east or west side?

You are right on track Brooks, but not just dead Elm. They like Ash, Maples, Poplars and other trees. Look when the ground is moist after a storm. Search around rotting stumps and fallen trees and around shady\mossy areas of live trees. When you find one, there usually is more in the general area.

Tons of people out here have great success finding morals in areas that were burnt out like after a forest fire

I'll start looking in about 2 weeks also, I can almost taste them. Any good Ideas for storing them? I've heard different methods but havn't tried any of them yet, I can't seemed to keep them out of the fying pan.
