Kirk, Dave Mustaine used to do all of the lead work for Megadeth and he is still the lead vocalist, however Marty Friedman is has been the lead guitarist for quite some time now. And a vast improvement I might add.

I have not heard of either growing giant pumpkins. Are you sure you're not thinking of the guy from Faith No More?

Also everyone do yourselves a favor and check out the Cryptic Writings album by Megadeth. It was a very tasteful supply of Metal just in time to get us through those crappy grunge years.

Are you thinking of Ted Nugett. He's a rocker and avid outdoors guy. Even had his own hunting and fishing show!!!

I stand corrected!! I looked it up on the internet and it is Jim Martin former member of Faith No More. He came in 4th place at his last weigh off @ 1100 or 1200 pounds. He's likely been growing for years, but I'm not sure if he was growing anything legal (if you know what I mean) !!!

WHY when someone from the rock world is mentioned, it's always thought of as being involved in illegal activities? Not all rock and rollers are. Ted Nugent and Gene Simmons have nothing to do with drugs or alcohol, just to name a couple. Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Hank Sr., That's a different story, and they ain't rock. A rock song about growing pumpkins silly? I don't think so...

My apologies for the prejudest statement I made regaurding Jim Martin. There are illegal activities in every profession, and I should not have pointed the finger at someone I don't even know. I am sorry if I offended anyone, especially a fellow pumpkin grower. We are all a unique bunch, and should stick together!!

When did they make it illegal Its legal here!10 times safer than booze.Whens the last time somebody burned a fatty & ran a kid over on a bike,Alcohol should be outlawed before pot,Ive lost lost of friends & family to booze,Dammit Dewight now you got me going,I dont do either,but booze is pure Evil!Im watching 3 family members commit slow suicide right now with a legal drug!Ok soap box back in the closet!lol

I agree with your statements Mark, I've watched several of my friends go downhill from alcohol. And we have a even worse problem with prescription pill abuse. People dying left and right around here...
