To all the Japanese growers and their countrymen as well, we are thinking of you during this difficult time. You have our thoughts and prayers.

I was in Japan for their National weigh-off in 94' just a few months before the Kobe earth quake. I was able to meet many of the growers at that time. Many were from the Island of Hokaido which is North of the epicenter, but no doubt suffered as well. God be with them and all the people in the effected areas.

I would encourage all growers to help with whatever monetary donation they can afford through the Red Cross or other charity to help with humanitarian relief. Even $5 or $10. from enough people can make a difference.

The disaster in Japan is very heartbreaking, the images are shocking and almost unbelievable. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the people dealing with this horrific tragedy. Mother Nature sure reminds us at times how incredible her force can be, and puts the important things in life very much into perspective. These people will need all the help they can get and I echo what Joel says and encourage folks to make some kind of donation to help the relief effort, no matter how small..... Bryan
