5 years ago who would have thought the American dollar would only be worth only 97 cents in Canada? Heck they might even start taking Canadian cash inside the USA again like they did back in the 70s.

A very good example of what happens when a country's debt overwhelms it.

It was alot more then that a few years back wasnt it Glenn?,, In 2007 when I went to Niagara it seemed like
1 US dollar was only worth like (guessing) 75 to 80 cents to the Canadian dollar?..
Has the US dollar creeped up on the Canadian dollar the last few years or would you say it staying the same since 2007?

Joe, you nailed it!

It was the other way round Brooks, the CDN dollar was only worth 70-80 cents and was like that for a long time. Back when I was a kid (like 35 years ago) it was above par for quite a while. Our dollar is pretty much driven by the price of oil.

oh ok John, never knew that about the oil price.

Its kinda scary to see what our dollar will be worth in 10 years, espically when we have politicians who grew up with silver spoons in their mouths all their life, that most was left a fortune from mommy or daddy, that dont know how it is to work a real job everday but instead want to take them real working jobs away from us that do pay a half way decent wage and then take that job away from us to then split it to make 3 or 4 more lower paying jobs that them 3 or 4 jobs you couldn't live off of any way, and also have zero health care.

They always seem to forget once they get in office that they are working for us and not for himself and his cronies to make themselves richer and for us the workers (middle class) poor er.

But any who,,lol,, sorry for getting off track a little there John,,lol IM MOVING TO Canada! ha!

Your right there Chris...even though our dollar and economy are real strong (thanks to oil and natural resources) we still get burned on almost everything we buy. It burns me that you can purchase Canadian beer in Washington State cheaper than you can buy it locally.......all taxes!!

Brooks....you know I am saving some space for you here in BC.

Chris...sorry for getting so off topic...best of luck with the auction.

Brooks, they din't forget anything, they were working for themselves (&cronies) from the get go!!! Just take a look at the massive $'s in campaign funds!!! JMHO!!! Peace, Wayne
