Want to try more foliar feeding this year. What is the best time of the day to apply? Phat Joe

Hi Joe,
Foliars are best applied late in the day or early evening. This is because the leaves "Stomata" open at this time and allow better absorbtion of the nutriants. Morning sprays should be avoided, especially in hot weather.

I almost always apply after sunset, as late as possible and still see what's i'm spraying.

evening , you can almost guarantee some type of burn if you try in the morning.

It is pretty amazing that 95% of all the nutrients absorbed via foliar feeding application can be found in the farthest tip of every root within 60 minutes....that is cool. I think its critcal especially after day 30 of pumpkin growth to keep supplimenting p and k by foliar feeding because a lot of it has beeb used up creating the plant and pumpkin up to that point.

Same here, foliar feeding in the early evening when sun has gone down.
