I have asked a couple WNY Growers this question but would like others opinions as well.....

What is the absolute minimum distance (In Feet) you would plant your seedling in your patch from the edge of your grass? We all know the further in the better, but for growers like myself who have minimum patch to play with....what would you suggest?

I need to rotate this season and refuse to plant back to back this year in my 1000 sq. ft. patch (23' x 45') due to stupidity issues with my soil last season....

ive grown a couple 1600 lb 2 feet from grass the roots stop and turn grow out in soft area of patch could be why im still in 1600;s for 4-5 yrs im changing up in future
