Hello, today I got my 2010 ribbons for the 2010 Italian weight off, on the box label is write: sent in 02/16/2011
How it is possible ?Last year, some peoples(I think the GPC responsible) told me the ribbons were sent in the early August, how it is possible? I don't like to hear lie, I prefer the truth! the sender is
Ben Trophis olean NY, and also I got to pay for to take the box euros 15,00, so in the 2010 weight off I got to use the ribbons of 2009 that also were arrived here when the 2009 weight off was passed.
What I have to do now? I have to use the 2010 ribbons for the 2011 season? it is not possible!!!!
If the responsible can explane me the problems ok, otherwise, I think no more GPC

you have known me for many year so you know i would not steer you wrong.

the problems with last years weigh off ribbons/plaques to several sites being delivered ON TIME has been well discussed,publicly as well as in gpc meetings.

rest assured the gpc is as upset as you about last years screw up.

the reason your box indicated being shipped 2-16-2011 is more than likely the vendor trying to correct there own mistakes based on complaints from the gpc executive who coordinated the orders and shipment schedule.

this year a new more established vendor has been located. one that has a excellent reputation of service and performance and is better equiped to handle such a large undertaking.
its not easy getting all the ducks lined up to see that over eighty sites all get serviced correctly but that has to be the result each and every year.

lets give them the benefit of the doubt and look forward to a new and improved awards delivery schedule for 2011.

I want not to accuse no one of GPC, I understand now that the responsible is the seller of ribbon,( just speak with Ian Paton about it) the problem was that it happened two years in row,and every year I have to explane the problem with my club president and other peoples, and it is not easy, some peoples understand, for others is hard, you know we are not all same...
I want the GPC will continue in Italy!!!!
Anyway I will try to explane to my club the wich one the problem was

And let the things go ahead!

i realize where you are comming from, especially now that you mentioned this happened two years in a row. not good for sure.

im told that matt debacco is in charge of the award ribbons and plaques distribution for the 2011 season.
matt is a very solid individual and prides himself on 100 percent completion of anything hes involved with.
personally, when i did the ribbons a few years ago i would have everything delivered here to my home. id inspect/package and ship off a listing of sites provided to me.
this is the best way to go however, with eighty or so sites it has become to large an undertaking for any one person but, its still the best insurance for success. like the man said "if ya want it done right? do it yourself"

growth does not come with some pain but i feel confident the gpc will put this task as priority one.

id also go so far as to suggest that the deadline for site membership be in by may 1st rather than june. it allows more time to dot the eyes and cross the t`s.

Pap, thanks for explaining what went wrong. We here in Vt received our award ribbons and plaques the night before the state weigh off last year, causing jitters for some people.

Looking forward to a better 2011.
