Hello to all you wonderful pumpkin guys on this truly amazing site! First and foremost - I can't THANK YOU enough for what you have done for Steve and our family. It has been the hardest thing Steve has ever been put through, and this test God has chosen for him still makes us search for answers as to why him. If only miracles could happen with a kind word of encouragement or a gentle thought that blows in the wind - he'd be cured a thousand times over, for I know you have held him in your dedicated and meaningful thoughts as he fights this disease.
I wish so much of everything, that it would fill 100 pages plus in a fine journal and not leave space in-between and I truly wish that the ache I feel every time I walk into his room would just go away for good, because he'd be back to his ole' self. And I wish our son could have his dad back so they could pick up where they left off before Steve lost the use of his legs entirely. Than we could begin a new journal together, without the "why's" but instead write our "Thank you's" for getting it all back. Lorraine (I have to continue this below).

If Steve needs anything right now, besides the medicine he takes for pain in his legs or medicine to keep the spasticity at bay, he truly does need his friends from this community. His phone number is 914-260-7176, he has it on him always during the day. He would love to hear you say - "Hi Steve". His concentration is poor yes, his thoughts sometimes jumbled, but his heart belongs to him only and it really is the same Steve Jepsen inside that pumping muscular organ you all knew on this tight close knit group. I can't thank you enough for keeping him in your prayers and thoughts. What you are all doing to make it easier for The Jepsen family could never, ever be re-payed except through our nightly prayers for friends like you. Someone wrote "Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them (or never), but you always know they are there." Thank you again for your kindness, your dynamic personalities, your blanket of friendship and your abounding generosity. We love all of you guys! God Bless ALL of you!
