The Kentucky Watermelon and Pumpkin Seminar was a big success, a ton of new growers and experienced growers were there, the presentations were second to none, we are honored to be able to go through our presentation on the same floor as the following growers:
Dwight Slone gave an amazing presentation, as did Frank Mudd, John and James VanHook and Chris Kent, there were no tips, techniques or secrets held back. These guys demonstrated an amazing passion for growing, and it came through in their presentations. There was a real diversity of growers that attended, Pumpkin, Squash, Watermelon, Tomatoes, Long Gourds, Sun Flowers and on and on. Its always great to put a face with a name and a voice connected to it. The dinner afterwards was great, there had to be atleast 50 of us there if not more, good food, good conversation, great company filled with laughter!
This was like a mini Niagara falls (almost as many growers too!).
A big thats to Tim Pennington, Dwight Slone and the club for bringing it all together and having Humic Acid and Kelp meal available for purchase, the raffles and give aways made the day complete.
We are all getting together to talk shop for awhile here at the hotel.
My hat is off to you guys!

Great job by Tim, Tom, Dwight, John & James, Frank, and Chris the seminar was well organized and thought out. There was a super crowd in attendance and it was evident by all the hard work by the KPM that they pretty much thought of everything to make the event as enjoyable as possible. They must have higher connections because it could not have been a prettier day either for February

What a great crowd of folks we had. Growers from Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Iowa got to hear some of the best growers in the country tell how they do it. Big thanks to you Tom for coming and doing the seminar and bringing supplies. Super Man Chris Kent held back no secrets of how he grew the new world record melon. Thanks to John and James Vanhook for sharing there great growing knowledge. Dwight Slone did a fantastic job with his presentation. Last but not least Frank Mudd did a great job. In one way or another Frank Mudd is the mentor of about every grower in Kentucky. Big thanks to Bill Brinkley, Dewight Slone,Jonathan Williams, Frank Mudd for getting the Humic and Kelp. This entire seminar could not have been done with out someone in Richmond doing all the leg work. Jonathan Williams has been working diligently behind the scenes for two month to help make this meeting run smoothly. The KGPG and I want to thank you Jonathan for a job well done. If all the video and audio turn out a dvd of the seminar will be offered by the KGPG. A job well done by all! See you all next year! Everyone please remember James VanHook in your prayers as he returnes to Iraq this year.
