I would like to know what is the team Lunatic. I know John who kindly sent me seeds of his 2010 pumpkin. But what is about the name team Lunatic ? And others team names too (extreme team for example) Thanks to explain me that. Christophe

in 2006-2007 and almost again in 2008 a bunch of growers friends fron the rhode island area banded together , shared research and information and produced a world record in 2006-2007 and but for a disqualification would have also had a world championship again in 2008.
i guess you could say teamwork pays off.no matter what you choose to call yourselves. there is much to be gained when growers and friends (one in the same ) work together. kinda like a club within a club.

Christophe, we are all in the same province, with the exception of our Finnish friend Mikka. I think Lunatic came about because when you look at how much time and money we have spent in this great hobby, in such a short amount of time... you are perceived as a Lunatic in some peoples eyes.
Rob...that Liggett seed looks very promising...real nice cross!!
Pap....you nailed it as usual.... having a group of guys working together sure helps with research, knowledge sharing, and with product purchases to lower the price when we buy bulk. The majority of the Lunatics all achieved PB's in 2010....what's in store for 2011....time will tell!!
Working together as a team is going to bring the WR back to Canada!!!!
