I spoke with Steve tonite, he was in great spirits and very positive about his condition. He realizes that his condition is progressive and is dealing with it.
He wanted me to tell everyone that he is doing fine and appreciates all of the cards and letters and the crazy growers that sent him seeds, I think the nurses got a big kick out of that too!
Those of you that told him how much you appreciated all of his help and how much his help and knowledge had helped the sport/hobby, this made him really proud.
He hasnt had a laptop, but he believes that he mnight be going home in a week, if his laptop doesnt work, I will go there and fix it, he really wants to get back on BP and chat with everyone.
A personal thanks from me, this is what makes this hobby great.
Tom

When I told him that the growers that I have spoken to all feel that his help and expertise has helped this hobby/sport move forward, he said, and I quote "that makes me feel proud".
I think that it is very therapeutic hear that he has been appreciated, and his knowledge has helped us advance as growers, and has helped the hobby grow.
I dont want to put words in anyones mouth, but I will tell you that you could hear the happiness in his voice when he told me how many cards he received and he laughed about the growers who sent him seeds...lol
Hopefully he will be home soon with his family and a laptop.

I hope he stays in great spirits. As a community its great to see the gentle touch and compassion that people are willing to show. That's what makes this hobby a good one.
