It appears after all that we will have the 2nd edition to our auction from January 17-21 so that it doesn't interfere with other clubs. Thanks to the growers who supported our club. Being a small club, we can hold our auction on the Seed Raffle and Auction Board because we don't need a whole lot of money to fulfill our goals. We will definitely have some interesting lots, no single seed lots and one historic lot at the end.

where do I go to read up on your auction?

Dear Andy, We are an agency in Harnett county nc that serves victims of Domestic Violence, human trafficking and Sexual Assault. Our plan is to have a pumpkin Palooza by the Cape Fear River, with local talent, a pig pickin and other activities, and if nature allows a giant pumpkin regatta, we are seeking all the support we can because I have two people willing to try and grow them. THey are novices in the pumpkin game, so I am looking into all possible details and options for our agency. That includes buying seeds. We have been offered a group of seeds froma 300 pounder for free and we may offer these to kids for a Jr weigh off. Who knows all ideas are on the table and we are in the planning/dreaming stage of this fundraising idea. We do have a restaurant willing to provide location , stage and BBQ next to the river.
Any information you could provide would be deeply appreciated.

Nell, we will help out any way we can, I think Orangeneck in your previous post had a great Idea. Quality seeds are pretty easy to get, getting enough large pumpkins for your regatta will be more challenging. I would try to contact the club closest to you to see if they can help, good luck.

PS- I haven't posted the auction lots yet, but it's on my to do list.
