-John's 1325 plant averaged 36-38# / day between D20 and D43

-At D30 it weighed 1112#!

-About D40 the main foamed in several locations including within 4' of the fruit and the 5 day avg went from 38 / day at 1230# to only 15 / day. When harvested the main was brown inside from the stump into the stem of the pumpkin.

-The pumpkin was done growing by D75 or roughly Sept 13th!

This very well should have been the "other one" over 1800! Ok that isn't a fact, but speculation :)

That is a huge day 30 weight !! Thanks for the facts.

Did he leave it hooked up to the vine, or did he cut it off around Sept. 13th to prevent the vine rot from spreading into the pumpkin ?

Do you think the disease will be a problem in 2011? What are you going to do to prevent this disease from coming back? When you found the vine disease did you do anything to slow or kill the disease?

OK...I made a typo sorry. 1112# was on D40 not D30. Sorry about that!

The plant wasn't diseased at all. It simply had a bad case of foaming stump / vine. The fruit was not cut from the vine until the day before weigh-off.

D20 was 353# and D30 was about 740#.

Unfortunately 1325 did not serve as a pollinator.

Right before its drop from 38lbs/day, the Eaton prediction equation had this fruit pegged north of 2K...

shoulda woulda coulda, but still pretty exciting.

Wow none the less that is an amazing pumpkin. Just think about the genetics in that 1325....... Glad that I have one of them!
