This is my first year having to make the difficult decision on what seeds to grow. Last year I grew a generic AG, but this year due to many kind growers, I have some great crosses. And it is TOUGH trying to narrow it down.

For those of you growing seeds from 2010's crop, what is your line up or what do you have it narrowed down to?

1663 Zoellner (1421.4 Stelts x sib)
1197.6 Matesa (1161 Rodonis x self)
724.4 Nieuwenhoff (901 Hunt x 1375.5 Liggett)

Plan is to cross the first 2 with each other both ways and either one into the Nieuwenhoff. You can't get much better genetics than what's up there and the cost was next to nothing.....of course my line-up has been known to change once or twice ;)
Whatever you do Luke, don't be tempted to grow too many plants. Don't try to sqeeze one more in, just because you can't make a decision.

Luke there are so many possibilities i'd like to try. Luckily I got some proven seeds so I don't have to roll the dice to see whats the best however it does make it more intetesting to plant some growers seeds from the crosses of 2O10. I like Ron Wallaces 1401 it has the 991 Urena x 1068 Wallace in it. I believe that both of tjem may be from different genetic lines. Should be intetesting to see how that one goes. Also Steve Sperrys 1520 it has the 1385 x 1725 Harp. Also Dick Wallace and his 1036 that has the 1258 Wallace x 1421 Stelts. I love whats out there now that I have 2 yrars under my belt it just keeps getting more and more exciting. It stands to reason why this hobby is addictive. It like watching a season of the Sopranos.

Luke, your in good shape with that new land you have and whatever you grow will be your benchmark for future years.

Grow whatever you want and if you can, include a 993.2 or 1059 Vincent/McGill and go for big and orange!!

Good luck with whatever you choose buddy...gonna be a fun ride!!

I hear ya Luke...so many choices...decisions are going to be tough...I have made one decision for sure...I will be planting my own seed from last year, a new cross with huge potential.......the 1119.8 Mailey (1385 Jutras x 901 Hunt)!!

The other two spots in my patch are where decisions are required....on the short list is the 1080 Hunt for sure...

Good luck with whatever you decide on...!!

Luke,go with what you like shape, size and color.Consider what the pollinator plant produced.Theres a ton of potentially great crosses out there.

Thanks for the advice. Now that we are over that new years hump and the winter solstice is behind, I feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Best of luck to you all as well.
