Subject: replacing main

to add to first question on my vine that the main snapped at 13 feet i have a secondary before the pumpkin and one after if i grow the secondary before the pumpkin as the new main my whole plant will be before the main is this a good plan or should i grow the secondary after the kin as the new main and hope that it back feeds the pumpkin?
