Growers---Kelly Klinker has just completed another round of 2010 updates on www.ipga.us

Now is a good time to see the list of top alltime growers in your state/province/country and also to check for any errors and get them corrected.

Five states still need attention---New Hampshire,Maine,Idaho,
Virginia and Georgia.

How about growers in those states fixing this up,asap please.

How can an out of state grower be listed as top ten in another state? Even if they weighed a fruit in another state, they are not "top alltime growers in your state/province/country"

Tom you are right----just to be clear-----It is where they are grown that counts for the TTA list-----but they could be weighed in another state.

I'm not up on what AGs may be referred to above and I don't need to be.That is a matter for the growers in any particular state to sort out among themselves.Then the "contact person" is there to feed any changes to Kelly Klinker.He needs to hear from only that one person.

That is the way we set the site up.

Tom - are you looking at the right Info ? the states listed are the weigh off location they were weighed at not the persons state they live in - for that they just have the city listed which I assume is in the State the record is for !

What i was referencing is that the top ten for a particular state has a grower from out of state listed as one of that states top 10. The way I understood was that the list was the top ten growers in that state, not that have weighed a fruit in that state regardless of where the fruit was grown.
Not a big deal, was just trying to understand it.

You understood right - for example look at Chris Steven's 1810.5 is # 1 in Wisconsin (where he lives) even though it was weighed in Stillwater, Minnesota. IF there is a state that lists it otherwise then it would need correcting !

Bill R.--the "contact person" for NH is listed as John Girgus,just click on his name and there is his email page.Kelly Klinker at the ipga site should only have to take info from one person from each state.

Sometimes perhaps a contact person is ill or has resigned without finding a replacement.Then a best new candidate should be one of the growers on the TTA list with email.The whole update job takes about 5 minutes once a year.It is up to a NH grower and nobody else to look after that.

Tom B.--stick to your guns,mistakes or misunderstandings do happen.Go directly to the "contact person" of which ever state you are taking about and clear the air.No fair minded person wants to see such things exist.

Also note the list rules--no DMG or UOW AGs allowed

If you click on the name of the "contact person" for each state it will pop up in an email.

If that does not work right click on the name and "copy email address" then paste it into your "to" part of your email.
