Nesbella, I dunno, I thought that my good friends Bart Toftness and Matt Debacco, the guys who started Team - Pumpkin, and have gone beyond the norm to educate and help growers, had sactioned the use of their Club name, Team-Pumpkin, to a German club...I am now aware that this isn't so. Team-Pumpkin.org is a registered Domain name and website.
Your guess is as good as mine.

There are many grower organizations in the world of giant pumpkin growing and each strives to meet the needs of their members in one way or another. These clubs have many varied goals. It could be to provide a weigh off venue, to collectively acquire supplies (fertilizers, chemicals etc), sharing of regional growing techniques, improve competitive club weigh off standings or simply camaraderie. One of the more difficult things for these clubs is to find new growers which are the life blood needed for growth. Thanks in big part to BigPumpkins.com and the internet (yes there we had giant pumpkins before BP) new growers can find the clubs and BP has all the information.


Team-Pumpkin is unique among the organizations in that our primary goal is new growers. For several year we have recruited, mentored, conducted seminars and helped new growers navigate the initial learning curve so they can become successful growers. In recent years we have become more visible with our website and auction participation. This has enabled us to reach even more potential growers. It is rewarding to Team-Pumpkin to see others pick up our banner and join our mission. The spirit of Team-Pumpkin is infectious and we welcome the growers of Team Pumpkin Germany and others to the cause.
