We had a big warm up this morning. All the way up to 1. Yesterday was -4. A big improvement from a couple years ago when we hit -40 one morning. And Monday afternoon I did see someone in shorts and flip flops in downtown Anamosa. Of course it was a balmy 18.

Did you send an e-mail to Al Gore informing him that his global warming theory is "full of beans"!

Oh boy Stan,,,, really??? lol... Have you ever heard of science? You know gathering data - like from all over the globe. (Global warming)...like at a variety of spots all over the planet over a long period of time...lol.
Man it is sure handy to look at single data points and then generalize that out into a hypothesis that supports your political views...lol

Love the different perspectives! Always laugh when my friends in Florida complain of the bitter 40 degree cold, and friends in Northern Minnesota keel over from heatstroke at 84 degrees.

Stan, today (and the whole November) was the warmest Dec. 8 in history here. Also, don't you remember this: http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2010/20100908_augtemps.html http://voices.washingtonpost.com/capitalweathergang/2010/09/summer_2010_hottest_on_record.html http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/08/29/summer-2010-hottest-on-record-new-data_n_698322.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Northern_Hemisphere_summer_heat_wave
Is all this enough for me to say: "Global warming!!!"? No! Though I do believe in the global warming.

global warming is fine as long as its in my patch. I could use the heat after last years bad weather. I look forward to seeing the sun come out for at least 1 day this spring!

so funny vancover take your own advice and look at long range stan has more substance even if he meant as joke. then research own your comment before getting smart and denograting out of context look at full history of temps. Love how global warming fools take last few years that work in your world to apply, hmm there was four iceages hmm wonder what happened inbetween so it wasnt just one.
