Hello Steve, been meaning to thank you for the nice letter and growing my seed! The 1187 was a big time bird bath but was sibbed so could have been a great seed except where it was being stored the chipmunks and mice got the seeds before I could :(

Travis, you did pollen 1544 Pollen that grew your 1187 on the 1596 Wallace that grew your 1227 Right?
Steve, if you're looking for something that has those genes in it the 1227 could be an option. It was white itself, but pollenated with orange, it could possibly throw orange.
It was a very thick pumpkin. When we cut a hole in the back of her she was way over a foot thick. It has a lot of good anscestors for thickness and size, and they are crossed back into it a lot of times. I think it would be a great thick pumpkin option to cross some more orange into in 2011.

1544x1544 sibbed my other plant went down due to disease! I know right...talked about a good cross, should not have let it get put up for display...or should have got the seeds before the critters!
