I sincerely hope you succeed beyond your wildest dreams with that seed. I hope you make a successful cross, you get sponsorship growing it, you become a media darling, and you can share the seeds/clones with the rest of us pumpkin growers.
Full power, Mr. Sulu!!!

i suspect that b.p.dreamer and all of the others who pushed the bidding that high ?, all had there hearts in the right place.
all these factors were present that night the chance t0 have a wr seed few will ever get to plant refusing to finish in second place the resources to be able to bid that high to begin with i dont think $1.625.00 will ever be topped in my lifetime or yours. if there is such a thing as a pumpkin god watching over our patches lets hope this 1810.5 seed and its generous winning bidder get some attention.

Keep it cool over the winter, but don't put it in a Freezer.

I agree with the last post...don't put it in the freezer. Unless it is completely sealed in a vacuum pack that protects from the freezer completely it will do the same as those other things that sit in a freezer for long periods. It will dry out. Freezer air is super low in moisture. If you are planting it this spring there is no need to do much of anything other than leave it in the seed pack and pull it out of the drawer every now and then....have some of the special big pumpkin dreaming.....and then put it back away until april...
