Too rich for me -- besides would hate to waste one of the few seeds it had trying to do something with it in the heat around here. Hopefully someone in a good climate area and with a lot of other growers nearby will get it so the pollen from many of the males can be put to good use for future growing. (and not just someone with deep pockets and no plans to grow it !)

No way I can afford to bid that high. I'm interested in finding someone that aint to far away thats growing it and get some pollen from it.

To break the WR(If I am correct) somebody would have to bid over $900 for it. Wow thats a lot of $$ and way more that I can put in to it lol.

As well as sharing Pollen from the plant to folks close enough to drive and get it, I wonder if cloning a vine tip from an early side trimming or tertiary could be shipped and grown in enough time to share the seed with a broader group of growers......

I agree, if this sees dirt, or any of the others of this elite group of seeds, that it gets cloned....

I'll let Big pumpkin Dreamer speak for himself - except to say that he is a stand up guy from Oregon - who deserves the best with the seed and I personally applaud him for supporting the GPC auction. Good luck with the seed and have fun - you deserve it.

Big Pumpkin Dreamer is the real thing, Good on him, It was a wild and crazy Auction with everyone winning because the GPC will spend the money's to better the growing community.
I had thought maybe $850.00 would have been top dollar, Man was I wrong.

thank you eddy and vancouver for the kind words.i know that the money raised will go to a good cause (gpc). where would we be without the gpc? anyway i'm just a dumb old mill worker who bounces around on a forklift for 8 hours a day. guess i'm lucky to still have a job in this economy. i haven't been gold mining for 3 years now since i got interested in growing big pumpkins. now pumpkins are my hobby.

@whiskeybravo - The Link I included in the post was to the pic of the Gold he had collected as part of another hobby he mentioned in the Diaries -- Which with the way prices are going on it right now would explain being able to put that kind of $ for this seed !
