I looked at "Patch 1"'s diary from New Zealand, he posted today some flat gords/pumpkins, have never seen them before, anybody know what they are?

Very cool. I try growing everywhere I can and will have much more room next year. I might have to look into those.

You're right Kevin, that is what they are. We eat them when they are not much bigger than a quarter. You can even harvest them the morning the flower opens, put stuffing in the blossoms and fry or grill them. Damn, now I can't wait for summer to come back!

Yeah, my first thought was patty pan but they look so big, maybe they got some AG genetics in them! So, the are a patty pan, variety Patisson, but a lot larger than the patty pan I usually grow. I was looking a those long neck spotted white and green gourds/squash things in that next photo. They are different looking. There's a whole world of squashes out there!

Those green and white long neck things are Speckled Swan gourds. Not at all good for eating, just decorating.
