i am curious as to what will cross with what in terms of ags, field pumpkins, winter squash, summer squash, etc. if i am correct, ags are C. maxima and field pumps are C. pepo, but where do the others fall? basically i am trying to determine if i can be relatively confident that my hubbard squash might be worth saving as seed for next year. varying info on the rest of the net.

Hubbard Squash, jumbo pink banana squash, buttercup, cinderella, triamble, Galeux d'eysines, and Jarradale are all C. maxima and will cross with AG's. Your Hubbard seeds could be 1/2 AG if you didn't do a controlled cross.

On a good note, you might end up growing some very big hubbards.

I prefer buttercup as pollinators.

I wonder, can an atlantic giant be pollinated with a marrow?
One of my pumpkins was open pollinated. In that patch a marrow was growing with ags.
I would really like to plant that seed next year, but have no place to experiment.

No, AG's are Curcurbita Maxima and marrows are Curcurbita Pepo so they can't cross with each other. Your seed is safe as long as you didn't plant any other C. Pepo's (that could be zucchini) close by..

I was assuming you wanted to plant the marrow! If you wanted to plant the AG seed you will be safe either way.
