Hello giant pumpkin community! As an aspiring giant pumpkin grower I'm curious what you think about the "grow your own giant pumpkin kit" on the xtreme gardening site. Do you feel these are good products, adequate amounts, and reasonably priced? Would I be better off getting different products or supplementing the kit with humic acid/seaweed/etc.? Any help would be appreciated!

i dont think you can go wrong with both product lines. the pumpkin kit is geared toward the new-newer grower. the products i am very farmiliar with.many top rhode island growers including the wallaces have made great strides using the rti products. profits from the sale also go toward the running of the great pumpkin commonwealth im told. which is a good thing.
we also purchase a lot of supplies from tom.especially when you consider tom has a very large product line. soup to nuts. every thing from grow lights, growth products , disease contraol to bug traps.
it all depends on what you are looking for. i think you newer growers would benefit from a mix of both.

Well Tom is definitely my go-to man for growing goodies. He uses what he sells, that's another major plus.
<doing my best to corrupt all the local gardeners.. ahem, um, cultivate their needs.. for all those things us AG growers know does the job>

Tom at Extreme Pumpkin has been a pleasure to deal with in ordering supplies. Plus he is a serious grower himself.
