Did anyone plant this seed this past season? I was wondering about the wall thickness on your pumpkin? The stem portion of my pumpkin was 14 inches thick. Sides and top of pumpkin 10-12 inches and blossum end was 6-8 inches thick. It had a very small cavity indeed. The pumpkin stalled out and estimated at only 416 pounds, but man -o-man, this will be my pumpkin that will be remembered for the one that might have been. If you have this seed in your collection, please plant it, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you,
Mark

mark thank you for the compliment regarding this 1341 seed.

i think due to the last five or so years of 1068 @ 1450 seed stocks used as a mother or pollinator, coupled with growers choices for over the chart pollinators? that this coupled with the next generation out there, that we growers will continue to push the weights even higher

the big question now is? what seed going forward will get us that 2,000 pound pumpkin?

we saw again this year as we have in years past that its not always the biggest tape that gets the prize.
i truely believe that to ever see 2,000 pounds we growers will need to both tape big and weigh heavy.

lots of possibilities for sure as many great crosses are available today.
