Some labels are hand written while others are typed. Does anyone know what, if any, difference this makes? I'm wondering if Leonardo labels all seed envelopes differently?

Mark, Leonardo packaged his 991s several ways, some were in plastic packets, some were in paper coin envelopes. On the plastic ones sometimes the label was put on lenght wise, sometimes perpendicular to the packet. Also he did use differnet sizes of type on some of the labels. Just make sure you got one from a trusted source.
