I saw the thread reminding people to watch the movie, but no discussion on what you all thought.
I just saw it tonight, AND I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! yes cheesy, yes fake, but HILARIOUS! the best was when the "pumpkin widows" were talking and the wife tossed her husband his lunch and got zapped by his electric fence. there were so many other cute / hilarious parts that made me laugh out loud.
and can you believe how dead the plants looked?!
and were those the styrofoam pumpkins i saw at the pacific nw seminar this spring?! i'm 95% sure they were! cool!
good job hollywood at making a funny feel good movie! :)

My favorite was when she was trying to learn to run the tiller and it ran away on her. Rest was cheesy camp :)
I do have an 1880 Silver+, but doubt I'll have any luck getting it to germ. 130 years old, might be beyond gibberelic acid...
+(...dollar. Pretty poor shape)

I take that back, I just remembered the BEST BEST part was the "pumpkin patch spy tour" or whatever they called it and the guys were wearing cammo. SOOOOOO HILARIOUS (and who isnt guilty of a little spying? lol).

I actually found it by accident as we have multiple harmark channels -- I typed the numbers wrong and ended up on right channel-- go figure! I had to chuckly about selling the wife's car to buy a forklift. Umm and I also noticed the sickly plants but looked like a wind/hail storm to me ... and perhaps they should have burried the vines LOL. But woooooo what about that feeder! While it was a little to chick-flick for me I have to admit I watched it twice.

Yes Christi those were the very pumpkins. The story line was done by Lincoln Mettler's sister Diane. The various plots and ideas were spot on, the movie, however, very, very 'Hallmark'. lol

I wondered if it was relation to Lincoln, I saw her name at the beginning of the credits.

My 9 yr. olds said "dad they walk all over their vines, they don't have a idea on how to grow pumpkins".They also pointed out that the pumpkins had no blossoms.
The good thing was its a movie we were able to watch as a family, they don't make many of those now a days. Also proved that my kids have been paying attention when I show them how to grow pumpkins.

Looked like vines were pulled from a patch somewhere and just set in place. Loved the way there were other pumpkins of various sizes in the patch. Styrofoam pumpkin to be sure. It was a cute movie.

The two big ones weighed before the 1880 Silver sure looked like the 1568 Connolly and the 1536 Van Kooten.
