Well we are finally here at our Hotel in NYC. Never having been in NYC in my life....nonetheless driving in downtown Manhatten with an 1800# pumpkin in a pickup was absolutely insane! I wasn't sure if the cars were honking at me to hurry up or slow down to take pictures of the pumpkin! ha.

Anyway we unloaded at ABC and met with the producer who was very nice. We did see Kelly and over 2 hours later were out of there! I was expecting to be there for 15 minutes.

Tomorrow after the show I have to retrieve my truck from an underground parking operation (a story in itself) and re-load and head back through town (DOHHHHHHHHH) to the New York Botanical Gardens!

This city is simply unreal. Rush hour here makes the Twin Cities rush hour look like heavy traffic in downtown New Richmond (10,000 people...lol).

We'll try to have some fun on the show tomorrow!

Thats great to hear. The people in the city are very polite once you get a chance to talk to them. Make sure you go to Rockafella center and take a trip around Radio City Music hall. Its truly interesting. Have a great time and enjoy the fruits of your Labor. And again great job.

Chris I hear ya, sort of! Last year I delivered a 923 pounder to the Intrepid (aircraft carrier docked in Manhatten) and this year I have to do it again next Wed. They can't understand my reluctance to deliver at 8am during rush hour! I am about 50% smaller than your pumpkin but its still no fun.

I drove there once alone, I got lost when I left, finnaly found the washington bridge (I think) and I made it out of there. Make sure you see the statue of liberty, ellis island, and the empire state building. Can't wait to see the show.

Just talked to Chris he is in the green room waiting to go, he figures he will be on soon after 9am.

He seemed excited to get on the show and let the world see his new world record.

Right after the show he is getting packed up and heading to the NYBG for a big media event with the big 3 starting at 2pm. This will include more TV appearances with Martha Stewart rumored to be there.
