The Maine State Record was broken 4 times today at the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest weighoff. Edwin Pierpont of Jefferson Maine finished atop the heap with a 1471 grown on the 1161 Rodonis, which Bill attended and weighed in.

Yes it does feel good shazzy! Thanks everyone. It was a great weigh off. 180 total fruit weighed in yesterday between the novis and compitition classes. In only the second year at this new wegh off site! I feel like we really have had a lot of new growers in Maine come into the hobbie this year that are going to be forces to reckon with someday. It was a real honor to have Bill Rodonis at the weigh off with a fruit. It's got to be a great feeling to come to weigh offs and see the fruit produced from your seed crosses. Mine was from the 1161.
