After meetings and discussions... the Five State Cimarron Weighoff scheduled for October 16th has been cancelled.

Fate has not been kind and locally there are no fruit to show; this weighoff is for our local growers first. Other indications have been pretty weak that others are or were planning to come.

We plan on trying again in 2011, and in the meantime will continue to try to get interest in and support area competition growing.

There is a weighoff in the area, Shattuck OK 'Pumpkins On Parade' the 23rd, we are supporting them and encourage growers to attend their event.

Thank for posting this before this weekend's weigh-offs in other states. I really appreciate it as I was considering coming to yours as I have a GP that is close to the New Mexico State record and hoping it will go over. So now I will go to Colorado Springs weigh-off. thanks a bunch!

I am sorry that you have to change plans, I am glad you have time to change them. We did the announcement as soon as possible. I hope you do snag both a PB and a state record!
