I have never taken a pumpkin in my pickup to a weighin. just wonderon if this will handle somethin over 800lbs; and does it swerve around on the road cause of the weight in the back? thanx

It should be ok, I had a Dodge Dakota and hauled an 1144lbs pumkin in the back. A Tachoma is about the same size and capacity. The trick is to locate the pumkin so the weight is balanced on the wheels a little to the fron of the bed.

yes a tocaoma should be able to handle that with no problems. Don't set it back behind the wheels and it will most likely be the smoothest it's ever driven. You'll want to put something -- like a bale of straw -- between the cab and it and be sure to strap it down. (to keep it from slaming into the cab if you have to brake quickly)

I brought an 1108, 1053, and 973 pound pumpkins to fairs in a Tacoma. The leaf springs reversed with the 1108 but made the 50 miles ok.

I have a Tacoma 4x4 V6 , took a 818lb 200 miles one way. Mostly interstate though. Take the turns slow and strap it down and you should be ok. How far you going?

Ive hauled over 2000lbs in my 2.3liter ranger! And more times than 1, also have had an 842 pounder from the fair picked up in it! Pretty sure a tacoma can handle anything you will grow! Fenders may drag but its all good, they still bounce back! lol
