Middle TN

Im confused so be prepared for silly questions... What exactly does a growers club do? I keep seeing clubs from different states and Id like to join but Im not sure if I have to join in my home state or if I can join another club. Is there a TN growers club? and if not can I join KGPG but live and grow in TN? Hows that work?!? Somebody clue me in please :)

You can usually join anyone you wish; I belong to more than one.

A grower club is to share the knowledge, help each other out, and run a weighoff :) Or at least the one here is.

Only meetings I will ever make are the local club. And we often have our meetings at someone's patch...

I'd take that nice young gentleman up there, if I was you. heh.

We welcome growers from anywhere any country in the Pacific NW Giant Pumpkin Growers. I am a board member and I coordinate 2 weigh-offs 1 gpc and I would have it no other way. this growing giants stuff is and should be for everyone. Its all inclusive. Growers should be encouraged to join whatever clubs they want. :)

Tammy, you can join any club you want. You belong to the KGPG when you register your pumpkin at the Weigh Off. Other clubs have newletters, seed offers, special contests and some send out free seeds. Each group/club welcome growers from anywhere.

In a club like the SNGPG you get 4 newsletters yearly and e-mail updates on what the news is. Much more also. Take a look at SNGPG.com for more info. You can join whatever club you want to. There are more clubs also on the bigpumpkins.com homepage under the "links" section.
